New to New Grace? Here's what to expect.
Big changes are coming! We are moving to a house church model, and we want the whole family involved!
The biggest changes are that we'll be including the entire family in our scheduled weekly gatherings (that means from cradle to grave). Instead of the typical service or Bible study, we'll have singing, dedicated prayer time (interactively), Bible reading and discussion (vs. preaching), and regular communion. The reason for this that as we want to help other families disciple their children in an increasingly secular and anti-Christian culture.
At churches, we often separate families during Sunday service and are never taught to have Christ-centered conversations involving our entire family. We want to change that and practice having regular times of worship together in ways that will resonate with the youngest and oldest members of our families. It'll be awkward for many I'm sure, but as we've seen, it can also open up wonderful conversations about what it means to be a Christ follower in a culture where we get a very different message.
Dress is casual, there will be snacks, and children are welcome! We welcome anyone who wants to seek Christ through prayer and the Word. It'll be a time of discussion and application, so if you're looking to stay anonymous, this is probably not for you. But if you're seeking to know who Jesus is and how he can change your life and the lives of your family, come join us!
